The stage you are in decides the treatment
Frozen shoulder moves through three stages — freezing, frozen and thawing — and treatment that helps in one sets you back in another. Aggressive stretching during the painful freezing stage prolongs the whole thing. This is the condition we most often see mishandled, usually with good intentions and too much force.
You cannot force a frozen shoulder open
Range returns when the capsule is ready, not when you push harder. What you can control is not losing what you have gained — which is why short daily sessions at home beat one hard session a week, by a wide margin. We would rather you did five minutes every day than forty minutes on Sunday.
What happens in your free first assessment
- Staging first — pain pattern, night pain, and the gap between what you can move and what we can move for you
- Ruling out a rotator cuff tear and referred neck pain, both of which mimic this
- Measuring range in every direction so we have a baseline to hold you to
What treatment involves
Graded joint mobilisation matched to your stage, capsular stretching once the shoulder tolerates it, heat and electrotherapy for pain control, and a daily home routine to protect the range you gain between sessions.
If it doesn't work, you don't pay
Ten sessions, with your pain scored on a 0–10 scale at the start and tracked throughout. If your score hasn't improved, we refund the full amount.
